The 18th arrondissement is centered around the charming Butte Montmartre, a former artists' village once inhabited by Picasso and Dali, with the majestic Basilique du Sacré-Coeur. The steep, winding streets offer panoramic views of the city, while the iconic Moulin Rouge cabaret below attracts tourists and nightclubbers alike. The avant-garde Lamarck district is popular with hipsters for its retro-style restaurants and bars.
