Our hearts sank as we disembarked the train into the crowds of selfie- takers in the busy centre, but our host H. greeted us and helped with our bags and within three minutes we were in heaven. We went around a closed-up building and down a narrow garden path and were delighted when we arrived at the beautiful ground floor apartment with views of the Eiger and valley below. Bird song and the occasional helicopter were the only sounds - tranquility but within walking distance of the Co-op!
