With easy access to the beach and many superb local eating places, you might not want to venture too far afield, but if you do, you can always opt to catch the Coasthopper bus which regularly runs through the village all around the year and takes in all the coastal villages to the east and west. Four miles down the road is the bustling Georgian village of Burnham Market, renowned for its independent shops, boutiques, galleries and a variety of delicious eateries to sample. If you venture a little further east, you will discover picturesque Wells-next-the-Sea with its endless white sands that stretch to Holkham and beyond. Take the opportunity to grab yourself a hot drink and take a stroll along the sandy beach or sit by the Quay and treat yourself to some fish and chips from French's Fish Shop.
