THE SPACE

Moonset Ranch is a private, two-cabin desert escape for up to 10 guests. With two separate cabins, everyone can enjoy the ranch together while still having their own private space. Traveling with grandparents and kids? The separate cabins make it easy for everyone to be close without having to share the same sleeping schedule. This is especially helpful when the kids are up early!

The main cabin is a 650-square-foot, single-level house. It has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a full kitchen, and a back patio with a propane grill. Both bedrooms feature queen beds with soft linens, bedside lamps with USB charging, room-darkening shades, and heat/AC. The living room has a 55” OLED TV with Roku for streaming, a record player with a collection of records, board games and a large couch. An air mattress provides additional sleeping space, allowing the house to accommodate up to 6 guests.

The guest house is a 425-square-foot, single-level cabin. It has 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, a kitchen and a living room that transforms into your private movie theater. The theater features a huge 105” screen, surround sound, a Blu-ray player with 150+ Blu-rays and an Apple TV for streaming. The bedroom features a king bed with soft linens, bedside lamps with USB charging, room-darkening shades and heat/AC. A dedicated workspace includes a sit/stand desk, monitor, mouse and keyboard for remote work. The daybed in the living area pulls out to a king-size bed, allowing the home to sleep up to 4.

You'll have the entirety of both cabins, the hot tub, the cowboy pool, the mini golf course and 2.5 fully fenced acres all to yourself. With wide-open desert skies and minimal light pollution, the ranch is especially beautiful at sunset and after dark.

GUEST ACCESS

My property is 15 minutes from Yucca Valley and 25 minutes from the Joshua Tree National Park Welcome Center. Access to the house is via a dirt road but it is only about a half mile off a very nicely paved road. Except in pouring rain or snow, any type of car should have no trouble accessing the property. There is plenty of parking (2.5 acres of it!). I have a lockbox with keys in it. You'll receive an access code the day of your check in.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
Use the hot tub and pool at your own risk.

In an effort to maintain a secure premises, the house is equipped with two exterior cameras. One is by the main door facing the main gate. The other is on the north side of the house. No cameras are located inside the house and no cameras can see the front or back porch areas. These are fully private areas.

You are welcome to use the outdoor BBQ! It is propane and propane is provided.

Pets are welcome but I do charge a $50 fee that is per stay and per pet. Please clean up after your pet! I have doggy bags on the bottom of the coffee stand. Pets are not allowed to be unattended in the house without use of a kennel. Pets are not allowed on the furniture and in the beds. I have pet blankets in a bin you can use on the beds and furniture.
