This apartment is on the 2nd floor (no elevator) and is part of an 8plex. Walking distance (66ft) to Old Town Plaza, where you can experience the "enchantment" of New Mexico’s restaurants, cafes, shops, art, street merchants, live music and entertainment. We are also walking distance to numerous museums including The Albuquerque Museum of Art, Explora Children's Museum, the Museum of Natural Science and History, and the Rattlesnack Museum. Nearby is theTiguex Park, the Aquarium, Botanical Gardens, Abq Zoo, Tingley Beach and the Rio Grande crafts.

Other things to note:
-Doorbell camera installed on front door to monitor guest count and for security purposes.
-2nd floor - no elevator
-Large Garbage container located behind the complex
-Possibility for noise - apartments are part of an 8plex
-Low Flow Toilets - do not flush anything other than small amounts of toilet paper
-AC unit - please do not run temp lower than 60-65 degrees Fahrenheit. The compressor can easily freeze causing damage or HOT air to blow in. When you leave please return temp to 75.
-Sofa Bed - not the most comfortable bed. We have added another layer of foam under the bedding but please be aware that it is not the most comfortable bed.
-The complex is regularly treated with non-toxic pest repellent. Still, this property is located in a historic neighborhood in the desert. Bugs are a part of life here in the southwest. While we make every effort to stay on top of pest control and keep the apartments spotless for guests, we cannot completely control nature and therefore you may see the occasional bug. Please be aware of this and make sure you're ok with the possibility before booking.
The Neighborhood:
We love the historic feel and the charm that Old Town delivers. It's always enjoyable to slow down and spend time strolling through the square and the numerous shops and restaurants available. We feel perfectly safe walking around Old Town both day and night, just sticking to the immediate blocks around the plaza, and around Rio Grande Blvd. Going from Central towards Downtown does have some isolated stretches so it is recommended to use common safety sense as you would in any big city.

Hotel Albuquerque: 4min walk
UNM: 3.5 miles
Old Town: 2 min walk
Fairgrounds: 8miles
Convention Center: 2 miles
Location is perfect for walking to Old town and surrounding restaurants. Walk score of 84 out of 100. This location is Very Walkable so most errands can be accomplished on foot.
Bike score of 87 (very bikeable, flat as a pancake, good bike lanes). There is a bike rental shop within walking distance as well: www.routesrentals.com
Uber, Lyft and Taxi's are always available.

We adored this place, and will definitely be back! What a bargain for such comfortable beds and such a well-equipped kitchen - it lacked nothing. Gorgeous outdoor courtyard and spotless. We were happy and comfortable there!

What a jewel of a place to stay as our home base in Albuquerque as we explored this beautiful town as well as a drive to Santa Fe and Taos. Taryn was a suburb host promptly responding to our communication and recommending fantastic places to eat as well as where to shop for a few groceries. The bed was comfy and the kitchen was well stocked. And best of all, the location was just a block off the Abuquerque Plaza with shops, eateries, museum and park. We so enjoyed our stay. Thanks Taryn.

The host was very responsive to communications. The location could not have been any better for walking to Old Town shops and restaurants. The shower was a little tight but that was my only downside. Thank you for a great trip.

My feet were gross after walking around in this unit the floor was not clean. The closet in the master bedroom was missing so we could not block the light and it has a sign to not turn off the unit making the light. We did not feel safe in this area, I was afraid my vehicle would be broken into while I slept. The host was not good with providing information up front, the code to the gate was provided 2 hours after check in time and info on early checkout was provided after we were leaving. The host ask about early arrival and early departure in the communication, but it felt like they were overly concerned. We arrived in the evening and left in the morning didn't see a need to let them know exactly when we were going since it was well within the times of the booking. This was part of 10 day trip and was our worst location and second most expensive.
