Lovely, quiet; and clean. The third bedroom is next to the garage you have to walk through the garage to get to it. That was little wonky for us since we have two littles. So we didn’t use that room. Had to bunk up unexpectedly. But the views and the neighborhood are charming.

Beautiful, peaceful surprisingly rural area, still just 40 minutes to downtown Providence. The aptly named 'Birder's Paradise' house itself was wonderful: very tastefully furnished with comfortable beds and fully equipped modern kitchen. Everything was very clean and communication with the hosts was excellent. The screened-in side porch was our favorite room to relax, eat or just watch the changing tidal marshes. The house has lots of nice big windows for watching the boats on the river, rabbits hop around or just trying to get a fleeting glance at a pair of tiny yellow birds (sorry our bird naming skill are sadly limited). There was an early heat wave during our stay, but the central AC upstairs and the split AC downstairs kept all the living and sleeping areas nice and cool. Our favorite activity was the short hike down Oliver's Lane to Alma's Creek and the marshes, where we could see (and certainly hear!) so many, many snowy herons, cormorants and other birds. We also liked the hike's loop back along rocky Sakonnet River beach. For restaurants our favorite was Localz in Portsmouth (30 minute drive). I loved the cheese ravioli with the best Baked potato I've had in years! Four Corners Grill was closer and we had a very good lunch there, both really enjoying their classic fried food options.Overall, we had a wonderful stay here and would love to come back. We would strongly recommend to others.
