Ocean Isle Beach is a south facing barrier island with 7 miles of beach on the Atlantic Ocean, located 12 miles south of the NC/SC border. Ocean Isle Beach is a much quieter and less crowded island than areas like Myrtle Beach, etc. The beach is spectacular and is very wide and clean with a nice gentle slope. The island has a fishing pier, arcade, surf shops, restaurants, museum, ice cream parlor, mini golf course, bicycle, jet ski, kayak, boat and golf cart rentals. The backside of the island has quiet protected water great for kayaking.

Keeping it Reel is everything you could ask for. It is clean, well decorated, comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen and close proximity to the ocean and many great dining experiences. We look forward to returning at the end of December for a few months of enjoyment. Thank you so very much for your hospitality.

My family and I had wonderful week at Ocean Isle. For he most part we thoroughly enjoyed this house, although there were a few things that soured the trip. The laminate flooring throughout the house as well as the carpet in all bedrooms and upstairs hallways was extremely dirty, as of they had not been cleaned in months. My and my family's feet were all black after just a few minutes of walking in the house. We had to mop the floors several times before the layer of filth came off. There was nothing we could do about the carpets unfortunately. The towels were in the dryer when we arrived instead of folded. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay and love visiting Ocean Isle Beach.
