What a great week! Our family lives around the country, and the times we get together are very special for us. This house was the perfect place for that kind of family gathering.We had 7 adults, 2 young children, and 3 dogs, and the house worked beautifully for all of us. It was awesome and exactly as described. Large, comfortable, and well appointed, with an incredibly stocked kitchen that made it easy for us to cook, gather, and enjoy meals together. The layout gave everyone plenty of space to relax while still having wonderful common areas where we could all spend time together.Bob and Mary are great hosts and were unbelievably helpful and responsive throughout our stay. They clearly take great care of the home and made everything easy from start to finish.The location was also fantastic. The house is on the quiet side of Acadia, but still close to everything we wanted to do. We had lots of hiking and swimming nearby, and we were very close to both Bass Harbor and Southwest Harbor, which gave us plenty to enjoy without feeling crowded. At the same time, Bar Harbor was only about 25 minutes away, and we took advantage of that a couple of times during the week.All in all, if you are looking for a great location for a family vaation in Acadia, I couldn’t recommend this home more. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely come back.

My friends and I had a group trip (6 adults, 2 dogs) to Maine, and we absolutely loved our stay. It was really nice to find a pet friendly spot. The VRBO was an easy 30-40 minute drive to the spots in Acadia we wanted to check out. The home was easy to get to and had more than enough space for us. We loved eating around the large dining table.

Our stay in Bass Harbor could not have gone any better. A beautiful large house that easily accommodated our 6 adults. The house is much larger than it appears in pictures, with all the amenities you will need. Our communications with Bob were excellent. Bob was a wealth of information on advising us things to do on our short stay. The only issue we had was the stay was too short!!! Thank you, Bob and Mary, for being such great hosts.
