We allow cats only if they do not scratch or shed. The guest will bring a bed, litter box, and optional scratchng post if necessary, for the cat and there is a $10/night charge.
The space
Located on a hilltop in Rimrock, the cottage has sweeping vistas of the surrounding mountains and Coconino National forest. Rimrock is a very quiet and safe location, far enough away from the busy tourist areas but close enough to northern Arizona's most popular destinations.
The cottage is located at the end of a rectangular building that is divided into three sections-the cottage at one end, our office/apartment in the middle and a single car garage at the other end. We sometimes stay in the apartment when the house is rented.
Guest access
If we are on the property we like to give a bried tour to our guests, Otherwise there is a lockbox with key access.
The cottage is located about 25' from the main house and guests have complete privacy to come and go as they please. The cottage (consisting of approx. 300 sq/ft), deck and pergola is set up as a studio with kitchenette (convection oven, hot plate, coffee maker, instant hot water kettle, microwave, toaster, utensils, plates and refrigerator. I loved waking up to the sounds of bird song outside, grabbing my coffee and Bible and sitting in the adarondak chairs, spending time with the Creator - Jesus Christ - in His word, adorhing Him in the beauty of his creative work.If you are into simple pleasures, enjoying what is offered locally for recreation and exploration, and need a quiet retreat to start and finish your day, you will fall in love with this place, as much as we did.
