The Barbizon has long been one of the best Hotel Alternatives in South Beach and is perfectly located between 5th and 6th Street, right on Ocean Drive.

Out the front door are the many restaurants, bars and people watching that makes South Beach one of the most desirable places to visit in the World. And just across the street is South Beach itself.
The Building itself is very well maintained, clean and secure. Coin operated Washer and Dryer are available on each floor; and a Receptionist is available during the day Monday through Friday.
The Studio is on the second floor at the back of the building. It is quiet and bright, with a view to the West, blue skies and a few small shops on 6th Street. And with its location toward the corner of 6th Street, it is also private, so guests can leave the Curtains open and not have to be concerned with neighbors looking in to the Unit.
The Studio includes free WiFi, Cable TV, Cd/iPod/Radio, and all the small things that make a trip from home more comfortable-Iron/Ironing Board, Hair a Full Kitchen with all the basic Appliances-Refrigerator, Oven/Stove, Microwave, Coffee Maker, Kettle, Toaster, Dishes, Cups, Utensils, etc.
There is 1 Queen Bed, 1 Sofa Bed and a Single Cot is available.

Lee was extremely kind and communicative. The location is 10/10. So close to the beach and yummy restaurants. This studio apartment is so cute for a little get away on a reasonable budget. I’d totally recommend!!

Outstanding location! The proximity to everything in South Beach was excellent. The beach was amazing and the path along it was perfect for long runs. The room was clean and spacious! We loved it all. Great host!

The location is fantastic and quiet for South Beach/Ocean Drive as it is at the back of the building. The owner and assistant were easily available when we initially couldn’t access the property which was great. The kitchen was very well appointed and equipped with everything you could need, including ice in the freezer. There is a Publix within walking distance so no need to pay the high prices to eat out all the time. Some really helpful extra touches like coffee machine and filters, beach parasol etc were great. The property itself was clean but some aspects were rather dated, including the bathroom and the towels and linen could do with a refresh. Our biggest concern was the bed arrangement for our family of 4 adults. The double bed is comfortable but the sofa bed is very old and uncomfortable and only suitable for one adult. The additional foldout bed was extremely narrow, with a very thin mattress. Neither of the additional beds were conducive to a good nights sleep for 2 additional adults unfortunately. A comfortable new sofa bed and some new linen/towels would make all the difference.
