Kona Reef is undergoing exterior concrete repair and painting from January 5, 2026 through April 13, 2027. Spalling work for this building is scheduled February 3 through March 31, 2026. During this time, lanais will be inaccessible and guests may experience noise, dust, and limited parking. Work occurs Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Schedules may change. Construction-related impacts do not qualify for refunds or discounts.

We had a wonderful time staying at this condo! The view was incredible, right on the water, and stunning sunsets!! The unit was well stocked with everything we needed. Very comfortable accommodation. There were boogie boards, snorkel gear, and beach towels included. We would definitely stay again!

My family enjoyed our stay here. We chose a room with the balcony facing the water and it was fabulous. My teens shared the pull out sofa bed. The kitchen was well equipped and there were even full ice trays in the freezer. We explored the rocks and small tide pools right in front of the rental and also enjoyed the pool.

This unit has jaw dropping sunset views that we enjoyed nightly. Even though we stayed in it in December, weather was quite warm (85 degrees) so having A/C and ceiling fans was delightful! It was our first visit to Big Island so having concierge to help us book luau and parasail was very helpful. Had I known that parking pass to Volcano National Park was good for several days, we would have planned to visit twice (day trip and night trip). There was so much to explore! We will be back for sure. The only negative was upon arrival to the unit, we were greeted with horrible stench of rotting fish. We called property management who returned our call right away. However, since it was a Sunday evening no one could come til the next day to resolve it. We couldn't stand the smell so we investigated ourselves and and found that the smell was coming from garbage disposal. We went to Walmart and purchased cleaner and did 3 treatments to remove the smell ourselves. No one ever got back to me. We the sound of ocean waves.
