Villa Tamanca is located in an unspoiled rural setting on the northern outskirts of San Nicolás de Las Manchas. The small village lies directly on the lava flow from the San Juan volcano, which erupted in 1949. At that time, the hot lava had bypassed the village, and in gratitude, a small shrine dedicated to the village’s patron saint was erected in the middle of the lava flow.

Villa Tamanca borders directly on the nature reserve and offers a fantastic view of the mountains and the lava flow. From the terrace, you have a side view of the sea.

The unspoiled surroundings are perfect for walks and hikes, and you can start some beautiful trails right from the house—such as through the bizarre lava landscape up to the Hoyo de la Sima and to the source of the last lava eruption.

You can walk to Bodegon Tamanca, an extraordinary, rustic restaurant serving traditional Palmian cuisine, located in a bodega carved into the mountain. It’s also not far to the “Secadero,” a good barbecue restaurant. In Jedey, the neighboring village, there’s a good pizzeria called Evangelina and a small corner store.

Definitely worth seeing is the artistically designed Plaza Glorieta in Las Manchas de Abajo. The wine museum is also located nearby. Here you can taste and buy all the island’s wines.

El Paso and Los Llanos, the two larger towns offering all kinds of shopping options, are each just under 15 minutes away. Within 15–20 minutes, you’ll reach the palm-lined sandy beach of Puerto Naos; the sandy beach in Puerto de Tazacorte is a 20–30-minute drive away.
Of course, the beautiful, heated private pool in the garden is also available for a refreshing swim and sunbathing.

Villa Tamanca:

Villa Tamanca guarantees you complete privacy. The fully fenced property covers approximately 1,000 square meters. The villa is not visible from the outside. You can park your car directly on the property; the large sliding gate closes electronically. The house is secured with an alarm system.

Villa Tamanca offers the highest level of comfort across 144 square meters. The owner has placed great emphasis on high-quality furnishings, beautiful design, and coordinated décor.

Upon entering the villa through the main entrance, you arrive in the separate, modern kitchen with a dining area for 6 people. The kitchen cabinet fronts feature a dark, elegant walnut finish, and the countertops are made of black marble.
Thanks to the high wooden gabled roof and the large sliding glass doors, the room still feels spacious and bright. The sliding doors lead directly to the covered terrace, which provides welcome shade in the summer.

The kitchen is very well-equipped and has everything you need. In addition to a large fridge-freezer, a microwave, and a 4-burner ceramic cooktop, there is also an oven and a dishwasher.

The living room is decorated in a warm shade of red and also features a Palmerian-style wooden gabled roof visible from the inside. A seating area with comfortable sofas invites you to enjoy cozy evenings reading or watching TV, or you can simply watch the flames in the open fireplace, which provides cozy warmth on cool evenings.
In addition to the fireplace, there is a split-system unit for heating or cooling, as needed.
The large sliding glass doors provide direct access to the garden.

A small desk is available if you’d like to work occasionally while on vacation.
In addition to satellite TV, a CD player, and an MP3 player, internet/Wi-Fi is available here, as it is throughout the rest of the house.
In a separate room—which also houses the bicycles—there is a sauna that can be used for an additional fee.
