ROOM DESCRIPTION
Mountain Peaks Inn is family owned and operated. We are conveniently located on Main Street in downtown Hill City. This home has four separate suites, each with a private entrance. Please stop in for a cup of coffee or a pastry at Caboose Coffee Company on-site! All guests have access to a large front deck with charcoal grill and small metal fire pit.
Green Mountain Suite is a beautiful pine, log-accented, cabin-style suite which sleeps TWO guests. This suite has a personal outside entry which is accessed by following the boardwalk around the home, to the east side of the house. Amenities include: a queen bed, vaulted ceilings, a private bath with full tub/shower; mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, coffeepot, water kettle, tv/dvd, Roku stick, and ac.

In addition to being in the heart of Hill City, South Dakota, a short walk from downtown, the Black Hills Central Railroad's 1880 TRAIN is just across the street. The popular Mickleson Trail follows Railroad Ave and East Main's sidewalk through town, with bike rentals just down the street. Historic downtown is a great place to explore with its local restaurants, various shops, and galleries.

Green Mountain was a nice place to stay. You could hear some of what was happening in the Caboose Coffee Shop, but it wasn’t terrible. And the coffee is excellent there! By far my favorite coffee of our stay in the hills. We forgot our own pillows and the ones provided were too soft for our liking, therefore didn’t sleep the greatest, but we still felt it is a great place to stay! Loved the “new feel”, super clean and the decor was very fitting!

The room was just perfect for the two of us. The location was easy to walk downtown Hill City, it was near the Michelson Bike Trail and the 1880 train ride. It was centrally located to get to Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse and other attractions in that Black Hills. Steve and Lisa were great to work with and they have a coffee shop connected to the rooms. Great breakfast burritos along with homemade pumpkin bars and other treats. We had the sandwiches that were also very tasty. We had stayed there a few years back and enjoyed it so that we booked it again for this past week. Our room was a western theme, very clean and comfortable for our needs. Great people to visit with and helpful in answering any questions.

I LOVED this Vrbo home. It was so cozy and accommodating. I absolutely LOVED that is was attached to a coffee shop. I would stay here again.
