Silver Lake Retreat

Silver Lake Retreat is a captivating lakeside escape perfect for families, friends, or multi-generational gatherings seeking both space and stunning water views. Nestled on the shores of Silver Lake, this home combines charming lakeside living with easy access to the vibrant culture of Saugatuck, creating a setting where memories are made and every day feels special.

The main level offers an open-concept living area drenched in natural light from large picture windows framing the lake. A cozy fireplace and a flat-screen TV make it the perfect spot to gather for conversation or a movie night. The living room flows seamlessly into the fully equipped kitchen with a large island, perfect for preparing meals or gathering for morning coffee, while the adjacent dining area accommodates family-style dinners. Step through the French doors onto the expansive deck to savor the lake breeze from comfortable seating or enjoy alfresco dining at the outdoor table with panoramic views of the water.

Also on the main level are two beautifully appointed bedrooms, one with direct access to the deck, offering a serene retreat at any time of day. A convenient laundry room rounds out this level, ensuring practicality without sacrificing comfort.

Upstairs, the primary bedroom offers a tranquil space for rest and reflection, while a separate, elegantly designed bathroom features a jetted tub with breathtaking views of Silver Lake and a spacious walk-in shower. The loft area provides additional sleeping options for two, perfect for kids, teens, or guests, and offers a quiet nook to enjoy a peaceful morning with a good novel.

The lower level is designed for entertainment and relaxation, featuring two bedrooms and a living area with a sofa sleeper, fireplace, and TV. A wet bar invites casual drinks or snack prep, while foosball, a bumper pool table, a card table, and board games ensure hours of fun for all ages. This level opens directly to the yard overlooking the private beach, blending indoor enjoyment with the lakefront experience.

Step down to the private Silver Lake beach and enjoy a day on the water. Launch kayaks from the shore, swim in the clear lake waters, or simply lounge in the sun on the dock. In the evenings, gather around the fire pit for s'mores and stories under the stars. A long staircase leads down to the beach, so guests should be prepared for a bit of a workout—but the soft sands and private water access make every step worth it.

Just a short drive from downtown Saugatuck, this retreat places boutique shops, art galleries, waterfront dining, and the picturesque boardwalk within easy reach. Visitors can also enjoy seasonal festivals, live performances, local wineries, and countless ways to experience the charm and culture of this beloved lakeside town.

With its combination of breathtaking lake views, thoughtfully designed living spaces, and private beach access, Silver Lake Retreat offers an unforgettable getaway where family, friends, and laughter take center stage. Your perfect lakeside escape awaits.

Please Note
- Silver Lake is an inland spring-fed lake that flows out into the Kalamazoo River and then into Lake Michigan. During certain times of the year, Silver Lake can get a bit green with algae. The home's landscaper will clear the algae every few weeks, but this is an act of nature that we cannot offer rate adjustments for.
- This home is on a private septic system. To ensure proper function, please flush toilet paper only. Do not flush items such as wipes, feminine products, paper towels, or other materials, as they can cause damage or backups.
- This home receives water via a well. Due to the high mineral content in our area, this water smells and tastes different than city water. Though the water is safe to drink, those who are accustomed to city water may wish to bring bottled water for drinking.
- The swimming pool liner is fragile and could be punctured or ripped easily. Please do not bring any glass or sharp objects into the pool area.
