* St. Peter's Cathedral (built by Eleanor of Aquitaine and her husband Henry II of England, with the most beautiful stained glass windows)

Poitiers also has its share of beautiful green spaces like:
* Parc de Blossac (A huge park with all kinds of things to see and do and a great view of the city. There is a small restaurant in the middle of the park that has been awarded a "certificate of excellence"
