Summary:
This is a small cosy studio apartment located in the back of the garage above the main house. It has a small kitchenette with 2 hotplates, a microwave, Nespresso machine, French Press (coffee plunger) and small fridge freezer. Everything you need for a comfy stay located only 2.5km to the centre of Queenstown & 5km to the airport. There is a dedicated parking space for the Studio in the driveway along the retaining wall marked with a sign "Unit 2 - Studio Apartment Only". There is also additional parking at the top of the driveway.
The Space:
The accommodation is stocked with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Just let us know if you have any questions :-)
Please note that the Main house is also rented out to guests so please respect their space, thank you :-) The garage is for the house guests to park their vehicle, so please do not park in the garage. You can park in the dedicated space along the retaining wall in the driveway, or there is also parking at the top of the driveway.
Guest Access:
Check-in - access via a key in a lockbox located to the left of the garage entrance door.
The Neighborhood:
Kindly note our house is located within a residential area. Please respect our neighbours by always keeping noise to a low level, especially between 8pm – 8am.
Getting Around:
There is a bus service, Uber & Taxi's
Ski Season Transport Information. If you are driving from the house, Coronet Peak is about 25 minutes / 18.6 km. To the Remarkables is about 40 minutes drive / 21.4 km. There is Ski Transport by Bus to both mountains which leave from the centre of Queenstown.
Other Things to Note:
Queenstown has mountain weather, which can mean a cold outbreak, even in Summer. We recommend bringing a wind-proof and water-proof jacket and some warm clothing at any time of the year. Hiring a car is a very popular and convenient way to explore the Queenstown area and beyond. Remember that in New Zealand we drive on the left and our roads are often narrow and twisty. Don't fall into the trap of planning car travel times based on the distance you might be able to cover on a highway at home. The AA (Automobile Association) website offers great information and tips for visitors about driving conditions in New Zealand.
The main house under the studio is also for visitor accommodation, please be respecful of the other guests.

This suite is certainly cozy. It was
reasonable clean but it needed a bit more attention behind and around things. The biggest problem was we could hear the people in the main suite talking and moving about. Beware of your head as the ceiling slants and our heads were bonked a number of times and we are not overly tall people. It gets extremely warm during the day but the evaporative cooler does cool it down reasonably well.

Super comfy. It had all the necessities for my stay. I cooked almost all of my meals. It was a 10 minute walk, for me, to the Ski Bus. Host was attentive but chill. Two Thumbs Up!
