Rivendell was an excellent choice for our 40th Wedding Anniversary weekend getaway. Nice spaces, comfortable atmosphere. The Lord of the Rings theme was obvious, but not overdone. Hot Tub was exquisite after days of hiking. Bed was firm but overall comfortable. Game room was fun. Kitchen was a nice size (could use a couple more spoons and knives sharpened). Gas grill was handy. Short drive to Somerset for any type of restaurant or shopping you might want (highly recommend Charred Oak Grill and Urban Stillhouse). Plenty of options for outdoor activities from Lake Life to waterfalls.

Checking in and out was a breeze! The host was available for any questions I had. My family enjoyed a cozy stay for the weekend and had everything we needed! I would definitely consider staying here again!!

It's a bit dated and in need of some sprucing up. We found it wasn't that clean, a cleaning rag left on the dining room chair, wrappers and a grape and other food debris under the coffee table. It was nice that they left some coffee, but a few packs of sugar and creamer would have been nice. Also basic toiletries...like small bars of soap to take a shower...it's pretty standard to expect that! There was just liquid hand soap. Hot tub doesn't seem to go above 95. No exterior lighting for arriving after dark, even though I made sure to advise them we'd be getting in late! So no, I'd not be choosing that cabin again. I don't know if they are individually owned in that community or if the Resort owns them...not very impressive either way. Upstairs bed hard as a rock. Downstairs bed was comfy. The railing was loose, unsafe.
