This three bedroom house is nestled in the trees on 12 acres in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. Enjoy the many year-round outdoor activities. Relax on the deck overlooking the Iron River or in the cozy living room with friends and family. Downtown Iron River is a short walk or ride away (.5 miles). Ride your snowmobiles and ATV's from the house to the trails.
Lake Superior, Pike Chain of Lakes, Apostle Islands, Duluth, Spirit Mountain, Bayfield and Ashland are other popular destinations.
This area is know for a wide range of outdoor activities. Miles and miles of ATV and Snowmobile trails, hunting and fishing, ice fishing, boating, kayaking and canoeing down Brule river, biking, hiking and much more!
When you arrive there is parking in front of the house as well as space next to the garage for trailers and toys. When you enter the main floor the living room is on the right flowing into the dining room. There is an electric fireplace, TV and sofa bed in the living room. The full kitchen includes an electric stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. The patio door leads to a large deck overlooking the river. Outdoor seating and grill make it a perfect spot for a summer cookout, a relaxing place to unwind or have your morning coffee. The master bedroom is on the main floor with a King bed and patio door to the deck. The main floor bathroom has a toilet, sink and bathtub only.
Upstairs are two more bedrooms, both with queen beds. The upstairs bathroom has a toilet, sink and shower.
Walk down the path to the river where there is a small bridge and plenty of shallow areas for the kids to play and swim. Enjoy floating in a tube down the river from the bridge to the house.
You will often see deer, birds and other wildlife on the property.
There is a portable AC unit in the living room and portable fans in each bedroom. It typically cools down at night here, so opening the windows at night is a nice option. The house is well insulated so if you open the windows at night and close them in the morning the house stays pretty cool.
Please be aware that we are on well water that has a high mineral content. The water is tested and safe for consumption but we do have an under sink water filter for drinking water to remove any unwanted odor or taste.

The home and property are beautiful! The home is easy to enter with a small step up. The only drawback regarding easy access for someone with limited mobility (and this clearly is indicated in the listing) is the bath tub on the first floor with no shower attachment. Everything else was absolutely wonderful with a gorgeous deck overlooking the river and lots of birds to watch. During our stay the mosquitos and other insects were minimal so we did not have to use the bug spray which was kindly provided. The close proximity to town is a real plus. It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but you can literally take a short walk to get groceries, visit a local bar, or in our case see horse dressage and dog racing competitions at the Bayfield County Fairgrounds. I would recommend this home to anyone coming to visit Iron River, especially those with no young children. The beautiful view is there because of the steep drop to the river. Little ones would need to be watched carefully. My family of 8 adults had a wonderful, relaxing time!

Kira was extremely easy to work with, very responsive to answer my questions. She came out to throw down some grit on the sidewalk and parking area, as she noticed they were a little slippery earlier, and gave us some real good suggestions on where to eat in the area, all were excellent suggestions. The house is awesome, wet well stocked with pans and the like. We had 5 of us there for snowmobiling and it worked out very well, never felt cramped. It is very close to the trails and has plenty of parking with trailers. Plenty of good viewing of the river and the wildlife that goes with it, lots of deer. I can only imagine how beautiful this place is, in all seasons. We will be back to stay again as this is a real gem!Thanks for the opportunity to stay at this amazing place!Greg

Everything was as advertised and check in was very smooth. Kitchen was well supplied with what we needed. Water was our only our bit of an issue if you can call it that. It had quite a smell and didn't even feel comfortable washing dishes with it.
