The Place Boutique Hotel Kalkan

Great central location, right next door to all the restaurants, shops and 2 minutes walk to the (Stoney) beach, with crystal clear warm water. Spacious apartment on the first floor, with a double bed and ensuite as well as living room with single bed and open kitchen. Beautiful view on the bay but you overlook a messy balcony but can’t enter it.. Good shower.

Everything looked a it tired, no soap or shampoo in shower, not even some teabags or coffee making facility (or machine) For the price I paid, I would have expected such basics. Apart from a young man handing me the keys, water as the WiFi code on the arrival date, I never saw anyone in or around the apartment. I appreciate it is the end of the season (October) but one could expect better. The rating from a previous guest who heavily complained about the steep road along the apartment: I found that very unfair as the whole of Kalkan is made up of steep hills.. just look at any picture. You can’t give it an extremely low rating because of being located on a hill. It is right in the centre and not too noisy.

We were very happy with the accommodation provided by the host
