The Dolphin | Classic Beach Bungalow Steps from the Sand | 3BR, Pet Friendly
Discover the charm of "The Dolphin" (3BR/2BA; Sleeps 6 – 2Q, 1D), a classic 1955 beach bungalow offering direct beach access and the laid-back atmosphere of old Edisto. Located just across from the shoreline, this cozy and affordable island escape is perfect for families or couples looking for a no-fuss retreat by the sea.
This weathered coastal cottage has been a beloved part of the Edisto Beach landscape for generations. While it holds onto its nostalgic character, The Dolphin is equipped with modern conveniences including WiFi, a smart TV in the living room with streaming capabilities, and newer kitchen appliances. The open-concept kitchen, living, and dining area invites connection, whether you're preparing fresh local seafood or enjoying a movie night in.
Unwind on the cozy back porch or head downstairs to the ground-level patio and grill out in the salty breeze. After a day of sun and sand, rinse off in the enclosed hot and cold outdoor shower, or toss your beachwear in the convenient laundry area below.
Whether you're here for sunrise strolls, shell hunting, or quality time with loved ones, The Dolphin invites you to relax, recharge, and make lasting memories just steps from the Atlantic.

This home welcomes well-behaved dogs! Because Vrbo displays an all-inclusive price at booking, the pet fee is NOT automatically added to your reservation. To ensure everything is properly documented, please declare the number of pets you will be bringing at the time of booking so the pet fee will reflected in the reservation total. Our standard pet fee is $175 per pet plus tax, and most homes have a 2-pet maximum unless otherwise noted in the listing. Undeclared pets are a violation of the rental agreement and may result in additional charges. We appreciate your honesty and look forward to welcoming you and your four-legged family members to Edisto!

Check in was great. Carolina One-Edisto did a great job. The house location was very good, just across from a beach access. I loved the old style beach house, but it could definitely use some maintenance and repairs. The inside was all wood including the ceiling. Every room was clean when we arrived. There was a dishwasher, a clothes washer, & dryer. All appliances worked. Parking was ample. A very nice place to stay.
