Jacana Lodge is definitely a hidden gem. It’s a little secluded and feels like one of those off-the-beaten-path places, yet it was surprisingly easy to find. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The quiet atmosphere made it the perfect place to unwind, and the location was also convenient for exploring nearby attractions like Muizenberg and Kalk Bay.
The only inconvenience was that our cottage didn’t come with its own kitchen. However, the manager was incredibly kind and accommodating, leaving us the key to the kitchen in one of the other units, so we could wash our dishes. We really appreciated this thoughtful gesture, and it made our stay much more comfortable. Other than that, everything was wonderful.

The property is absolutely beautiful ,spacious, surrounded by lush greenery, and offering a stunning view of the lake. It’s truly breathtaking.
I appreciated how accommodating they were. I was getting married and they allowed me to get dressed on the property and even welcomed a few of my friends to join me on the morning of the wedding. It made the day feel even more special.
