We stayed at a simple private house in Kalamata, simple in the best sense of the word: a modest home in the city, pleasant, with a large yard. It's about a 15–20 minute walk to the city center, and very close to a supermarket in the other direction. The host was lovely and left us some essentials so we'd have what we needed upon arrival, rather than finding the house empty.
It was a convenient base for exploring outside of Kalamata as well. The house was clean and comfortable, and having a washing machine was a huge bonus.
One area for improvement: the WiFi was very weak, which became frustrating, with 4 people staying there, we weren't able to use it consistently.

Το σπίτι είναι τέλειο για να μεινετε μεγάλο με μεγάλα μπαλκόνια τέλεια αυλή που μπορείς να ψήσεις είναι ένα τέλειο σπίτι περάσαμε πολύ ωραία έχει όλα τα εργαλεία για να μπορείς να μαγειρέψεις η ιδιοκτήτρια πολύ ευγενική και την ευχαριστούμε πάρα πολύ
Δεν έχει κάτι που να σχολιάσω αρνητικό για το σπίτι αυτό ήταν τέλειο

Andriani takes hosting to another level. Her house is comfortable, spacious, clean and in a great location! You can use the terrace and the garden with lots of shade. You also park your car there. The kitchen is truly fully operational. She even goes grocery shopping before you visit and gets you amazing basics for breakfast and more. She goes above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be and is very easy to communicate with. Look no further for your (vacation) home in Kalamata!
