Welcome to Montgomery Inn at Ingleside, a beautifully restored, 4-star Canada Select 7-bedroom heritage home nestled on 4 acres of serene countryside, directly across from the picturesque Lake of Shining Waters in Park Corner, Prince Edward Island. Ingleside shares the property with the newly renovated 3-bedroom Four Winds Cottage, which is listed separately.
Built in 1877 by Senator Donald Montgomery, grandfather of beloved Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery, this historic Victorian gem is a dream destination for Anne of Green Gables fans and lovers of L. M. Montgomery. This very home inspired the fictional "Ingleside," the cherished residence of Anne, Gilbert, and their children in Montgomery’s iconic novels.
Step back in time as you explore original 19th-century flooring, doors, and antique furnishings that have been lovingly preserved. Whether you're sipping tea on the front porch, exploring the Anne of Green Gables Museum just across the road, or watching the sunset over the lake, you'll feel immersed in the charm and magic of "Anne's Land."
Ideal for fans, families, and romantic getaways, Ingleside offers a one-of-a-kind, historic experience in a setting rich with heritage, beauty, and storybook wonder. $500 security deposit hold required upon booking. 7 university friends descended on PEI for a 5 day "Girls' Trip" and 3 nights were spent at Montgomery Inn. We felt so lucky to have found a spot that made us feel immersed in the world of Anne of Green Gables, but with all the modern conveniences and comforts. The Inn was perfect for our needs, with all necessities thoughtfully provided and extras as well (plus throws in every room). We would have loved to have had more time to take advantage of the well-stocked kitchen.
Paul's impromptu history of the house on our arrival and help in carrying bags upstairs, was an unexpected bonus.
Thank you for the chance to experience this beautiful home in its magical setting.

Our experience at Montgomery in at Ingleside was fantastic! What an amazing place. beautiful! It's like taking a step back in time but with all the amenities. The inside decor is so interesting and historic. I took 11 people and every single one of us loved it. We highly recommend it. The owner was so helpful. It was like we knew each other for years.

My family of 6 had the most amazing vacation at the Montgomery Inn at Ingleside! The house is so spacious, well-appointed, and with a kitchen that has everything necessary for cooking homemade meals. The views are spectacular! It’s infused with the spirit of LMM and Anne. I still close my eyes to go back to my view from the master bedroom window, or the view from the porch as I sat relaxing while my girls ran around playing make believe under the canopies of the big trees in the front yard. I can hear the howling of the strong island winds as they blew past the house. The drives to everywhere we went on the island were beautiful; it’s an absolutely picturesque place. You are a minute away from the Anne of Green Gables Museum, and can take a carriage ride from there to the beach. Book now!
