Great

Nothing

Location could not have been better - steps away from the town square and the Château d'Amboise. As a light sleeper, I appreciated that Amboise quiets down after 9pm so being centrally located wasn't an issue noise-wise. We had debated staying at a chateau out of town but without a car it would have been logistically difficult. We were so happy we went with the La Valette apartment instead! We were easily able to visit all the sites in Amboise on foot and just minutes away from the tourist center where our chateau tour met. We were also a quick walk away from the bus station for the bus to the Gare Amboise for our train back to Paris. If you are visiting Amboise without a car I would 1000% recommend one of these apartments. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well appointed, and the host was welcoming and responsive to messages. It was easy to access the apartment with the provided instructions, we had no issues.

As is the case with many places in France, there is no lift so just something to be aware of if you are traveling with heavy suitcases. Also just a note to the host, it appears the rack in the bedroom with the twin beds needs adjusting as it fell with the weight of just one item. Both my travel companion and I loved having sinks in our bedrooms that was such a game changer when traveling with friends, but both of us commented it would be nice to have a small garbage can in the bedrooms. But these are very minor quips in an otherwise FABULOUS stay! Thank you so much for hosting us! We would love to be back again someday.

The location of this property was outstanding! Right in the heart of old Amboise and steps from the Royal Chateau. Parking was nearby and not too challenging. The host was very responsive and helpful!

Being in the heart of the old town meant that it was always a bit too loud for sleeping with the windows open but this was necessary at it was still warm in mid September. The apartment itself was spacious, and had everything we needed; and the decor of the walls and lamps and tile were beautiful and modern. There were few pierces of furniture that were quite flimsy-(the coffee table and the place to put your clothing.

Excellent location, clean and updated.

AC should be properly installed. Should have another option for bed covers. It was too heavy for the season
