Relais Chiaia

Located in old town, clean and everything new

Checkin was difficult, you are supposed to upload both sides of every ID to a website I did not trust. This was not mentioned in booking. Only after uploding passport you get access code. We could not turn on light when we came, only later we found out that you have to insert a magnetic card (which we did not see at once; other cards don't work, I tried) into slot. Room was quite small, no chair. View into a sad courtyard.

Tutto. Posizione strategica. Camera ampia molto curata e ben pulita.

The location is hard to beat. Via Chiaia is right below you, so you step out into the main shopping street, and the seafront is a short easy walk away — you can be looking at the bay in ten minutes without planning anything. For a first trip to Naples it puts you in exactly the right place. The hotel is very well maintained throughout. Our room was spacious and genuinely attractive, with a huge bathroom, and the whole thing was spotlessly clean. The best surprise was the quiet. The room faces the internal courtyard, so despite being directly above one of the busiest streets in the city, there was no street noise at all. Complete silence at night.

The only thing that wasn't quite right was the air conditioning. It worked, but it wasn't easy to settle — on warm it got too much and on cold it got chilly, and it took a while to find a balance. Minor, but worth knowing.

Posizione stupenda e camera ben rifinita con una speciale vista su via Chiaia.
