Les Vagues - Hotel Villa & Beach Club - Gili Air

Lovely accommodation, nice and quiet.

Bathroom walls are a bit dirty hadn't been cleaned and the hot water is limited.

Das Les Vagues ist eine sehr kleine, niedliche und gepflegte Unterkunft im landestypischen Stil. Ein leckeres Frühstück gibt es direkt am Strand. Alles war immer blitzeblank sauber und die Mitarbeiter waren zu jeder Zeit super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte gut und auch sonst war alles da was man braucht.

Einziges kleines Manko ist das Bett das doch extrem laut knarrt und auch nicht wirklich bequem ist. Da ich allein unterwegs war, war das kein Problem, zu zweit stelle ich mir das aber etwas anstrengend vor.

The staff here are the saving grace, very kind and attentive, happy to help organise things if needed. Breakfast was good and the bar options are plenty. Location - if arriving in the port with luggage it is quite far and you have little choice but to use a horse carriage. If you are staying here be sure to enjoy the sunset it's absolutely the best part about this place. Room was really nice decorated and aircon works perfectly. Bed is comfortable. Once you arrive the location you should either walk or rent a biciclye to navigate the island. The hotel will sort bikes for you which was really nice and easy. Same for laundry! The accomodation itself is located in a very narrow walkway, with a decent sized pool crammed in, there are only 2 deck chairs for the pool and it would be hard to fit anymore on, we were not really able to enjoy the pool due to this.

The bathroom shower! Please fix this. The water pressure is non existent, the tap below the shower always leaks when trying to use the shower and the hot water runs out extremely quickly, hardly enough for 1 person to shower and especially not 2. We had to wait between showers. The bathroom floor was dirty on arrival, I appreciate some earth and leaves can enter through the gaps in the ceiling but it felt like the floor had been neglected. Worse though were the amount of insects in the bathroom and on night 2 a huge cockroach. A plug in bug deterrent or some sprays are desperately required. We didn't face this issue in similar accomodation during our trip. The bathroom towels, please review these as they had a pretty bad smell even when changed.
