We wanted to get away together, surround ourselves with nature, properly unwind and recenter, and get away from people for a while, and that’s exactly what we found here. There are no neighbouring houses or people around, just animals and the sounds of nature. We absolutely loved the peace and isolation. We also wanted to do some hiking without having to drive somewhere first, and there are several interesting walks and hikes you can do directly from the house. In fact, all the photos we took during our stay were taken in the area around the house, which says a lot about how beautiful the surroundings are. The house was also very well equipped, especially the kitchen. It had everything we needed and more, including the little basics like salt, pepper, sugar and oil; the kind of things you only need a small amount of and really don’t want to have to buy an entire pack or bottle of for a short stay. It made cooking and settling in much easier and more convenient. We also arrived on a Sunday, when the shops were closed. The hosts knew this and had filled the fridge with enough food to keep us going for a couple of days, much of it from their own farm and garden. That was such a thoughtful gesture. Anyone who has ever grown their own food knows how much time and effort goes into it, so having them share some of their own produce with us was genuinely appreciated. We came here specifically to get away from everything for a few days, spend time in nature and explore the area on foot, and that’s exactly what we got.

To be clear, there was nothing we disliked. There is nothing to change or improve, just to be aware there are trade-offs and practical considerations for having that level of peace, privacy and isolation. The nearest town is around a 30-minute drive away, and the road leading to the cottage is partly rocky/gravel, so that’s worth keeping in mind specially for and planning trips for groceries. If you’re planning to visit or hike in Durmitor National Park, also be aware that it’s about 2h drive each way. We made the trip 3 times and hikes of 7h, and it certainly wasn’t an impediment for us, but it’s worth knowing beforehand when planning your days.

Our stay was absolutely perfect from start to finish! Everything about this house exceeded our expectations. It was spotless, beautifully maintained, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The highlight was definitely the surroundings. The peaceful atmosphere and stunning natural scenery made it the perfect place to unwind. Waking up to the tranquility every morning and enjoying the serene environment throughout the day was truly unforgettable. Another thing we really appreciated was how pleasantly cool the house stayed during the evenings and early mornings, making it incredibly comfortable even on warm days. Nearby is a beautiful waterfall worth visiting: Vrbnica Waterfall. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. We would love to come back in the future!

Predivni domaćini - dali su nam sve potrebne informacije i bili su dostupni za sva naša pitanja 24/7 što je jako važno kada se nalazite u ovakvom okruženju - priroda, šuma, bez susjeda i signala :) Kućica je predivna - osjeća se da su je pažljivo opremali, sve je uredno i na svom mjestu, domaćini su nam u frižideru ostavili i svježa domaća jaja i povrće iz bašte :) Boravak je bio bolji nego što smo zamišljali - nismo vjerovatli da je mjesto toliko izolovano i da ćemo imati apsolutni mir.

Die Umgebung/Lage, Privatsphäre, Natur, Familie war sehr nett und hilfsbereit, haben uns bei der Ankunft begrüßt und mit der doch eher anspruchsvollen Anfahrt geholfen
