My wife and I stayed at Port Paradise for a week in May for our 20th anniversary because we wanted a quiet and secluded location away from the typical tourist hotspots. It did not disappoint.Renee was an excellent host, helping in any way necessary. She helped coordinate with a both a fishing and scuba guide so we could be picked up right at the dock. No issues whatsoever planning those activities. Most everyone was using WhatsApp for communication. Cell service was not an issue and WiFi at the house was good.Carlos was also fantastic, helping with anything we needed and taking us out for a day trip to Jade Beach and Pigeon Cay to swim with the nurse sharks and rays, then to a local restaurant in Santa Elena. Highly recommended.The house was great, everything was clean and worked well. We knew once we got out there that we didn’t want to venture back into town so we tried to get everything we needed for the week at Eldon’s in French Harbour. There is also another grocery next to Eldon’s with additional organic and “clean eating” type products. Glad we did because going back into town would’ve taken up a good portion of a vacation day.The drive isn’t difficult, a little over an hour to experience the local driving culture. There was some road construction. The last mile is a little rough, but doable in the compact SUV we rented.The snorkeling right around Cow and Calf was awesome as well.We loved everything about our trip and hope to be back soon!

Beautiful location and property! If you are looking for privacy in a secluded ocean front property with amazing views and snorkeling right out your front door, this is the place for you! Although I was a bit caught by surprise that there wasn't any road access to the house (my fault for not reading carefully) we wanted for nothing while we were there. Renee and the grounds man Carlos were extremely accommodating to our needs and wants. Carlos went the extra mile for me when I had a horrible allergic reaction late at night. He ran out and got me meds and lotions and delivered them in an impressive amount of time! They made getting groceries,alcohol, fresh fish markets, and going to restaurants easy, as it's just a few minute boat ride. We went to the end of the island and swam with nurse sharks and rays and it was an incredible experience! Overall we had a very pleasant stay and experience. If I were to have any gripe it would be that I am out of shape and wasn't prepared for the steep stairs to and from the beach! Besides that I would highly recommend this property. Lots of peace and quiet and away from any ports and crowds of people. We hope to go back sometime!

Our stay at Port Paradise in Roatán was fantastic. The setting is hard to beat, right on the water with a relaxed, quiet feel. Snorkeling at Cow and Calf was one of the best parts of our trip. The home was clean and comfortable, and everything was just as described. Renee was a fantastic host and Carlos, the caretaker, was very helpful and responsive throughout. Highly recommend.

Great place.Hostess Renee was beyond excellent, informative and responsive. Alone, she is reason enough to visit her place.The home is definitely remote, which we enjoyed. The trip from the airport is a great adventure.The home is clean, well appointed and beautiful.We spent our time kayaking, snorkeling, fishing and star gazing.Definitely recommend for the adventure minded traveler!
