Lawangkala Resort Ubud

The resort is fantastic and our 2 bedroom villa was beautiful. The breakfast each day was great and they happily catered for me being Coeliac. The staff is outstanding and really lovely.

We had a 2 Bedroom Villa and the kitchen was beautiful but not functionable. There was a stovetop that didnt work and no pots or pans. It felt more like a kitchen for show than something you could use. It was furnished with the absolute minimum of plates and glasses, not enough even for the 4 of us staying in the Villa. I raised it with reception and apparently no other Villa had a stovetop that works either. Also the pool bar apparently has no licence yet, so if you are thinking of having an alcoholic drink by the pool (except of beer) this can not be catered for.

Wonderful place! If you’re looking for peace, quiet, and a relaxing stay, this is definitely the perfect place for it. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were incredibly caring, attentive, and helpful. We would absolutely love to come back here again!

The dinner menu could have offered more variety.

The absolute highlight of our stay was the staff. Their kindness and hospitality went far beyond our expectations. They were incredibly welcoming, attentive and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. We were almost overwhelmed by how well they treated us! They even surprised us with a beautiful honeymoon welcome decoration in our room, completely free of charge. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made our stay even more special. The room itself was lovely, spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view. Breakfast was also good, and we really appreciated how accommodating they were with our dietary requirements, replacing the pork with halal meat upon request. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and the staff truly made it unforgettable.

The only minor issue was that the hot water didn't last very long. However, when we checked out, the staff explained that they could have extended the water heater's timer if we had informed them earlier. We simply hadn't thought to ask, assuming nothing could be done about it! A small tip for future guests: if you experience the same issue, just let the staff know. They are more than happy to help. Other than that, we had absolutely no complaints.
