The breakfast changed a wee bit every day and incorporated traditional Taiwan items.
Always fresh & kept stocked.
The eating area was available to access throughout the day/evening to utilize plates utensils if brining food in.
The environment was Japanese influenced, peaceful & pleasing.

Great location, great room and bathroom. The staff are lovely and the morning bike ride is worth the early wake up especially as you only pay for bike rental. The bike rental will give you a refund (if you go where they suggest) if the tour gets cancelled

Location. Beautiful room and facilities. Comfy bed. Great hosts who were able to suggest a lovely place for dinner.

Tidy and clean.
The walls are thin and you can easily hear people speaking next door. (As a result there is strict house rule about making noise in the hotel). There are other rules simply for the convenience of the owners but little about the hotel guests. The hotel is located at one of the quiet side of the Sun Moon Lake, therefore shops around the hotel close early in the evening.
