There's a certain kind of place that makes a trip feel like a trip. Not because of what's in it, but because of how it feels to be in it. This is one of those places.

The home has the kind of character that takes a lifetime to earn — hardwood floors, original woodwork, ceilings tall enough to actually breathe in.

It doesn't feel like a rental. It feels like somewhere people have actually lived, and that makes all the difference when you're trying to unwind.

Seven people can settle in here and each find their own rhythm. Grab the front bedroom, claim the couch, take your coffee to the porch in the morning before anyone else is up.

The city is right outside when you want it — downtown Fort Wayne is a short walk away, with enough restaurants, bars, and local spots to fill a weekend without repeating yourself. And when you've had enough of it, coming back here feels like an exhale.

Evenings on the front porch have a way of stretching longer than you planned. That's not a complaint.

Pets are welcome, parking is free, and the neighborhood is the kind you actually want to walk around in. Some stays are just easy — this is one of them.
