This is an exceptional property. We travelled as an extended family and each of the couples had their own en-suite bedroom (there are 4 in all). This maintained privacy and ensured there were no queues for the bathroom. There are also two large reception rooms, each with large sofas and TV, a fifth room with a bed and two additional shower rooms. In a party of six, each of us could have showered (separately) at the same time if needed - I've not experienced that before. The kitchen was well appointed with toaster, kettle, Dolce Gusto coffee machine, Filter coffee machine, bean-to-cup coffee machine, large American style fridge with cold water/ice dispenser, Dishwasher, Double Oven, Microwave, and Induction hob. All new and in good working order. The property is a €5 Uber ride into Porto (15mins). If you prefer, you can walk along the coast/river to Porto/Gaia - 10km in total. It is a €10 Uber ride from the airport (30mins). A short 10min walk takes you to Lavadores beach or Salgueiros beach - both beautiful, sandy, and monitored by lifeguards. If you prefer to stay home, the (heated) 8m pool is great for cooling off, there is plenty of room for relaxing in the Sun, and the lower reception room provides shade for those who need this. A charcoal barbecue was also provided.

A property like this really should have air-conditioning - installed but not yet functional. The property is new to the holiday let market and there were a few minor maintenance issues. These were quickly resolved by a responsive and personable property manager.

The villa was absolutely stunning, spacious, spotlessly clean, and had great vibes. We stayed for a relaxed, non-rowdy hen do and it was perfect for our group. The heated pool was a huge bonus, especially on breezier days. The villa had everything we needed, the area felt very safe, and the beach and shops were only a 15-minute walk away. Porto town, night life and the riverside were a short 15 taxi ride. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and very helpful.

Nothing! We had an issue with unlocking the front door from inside, but hosts were responsive and friendly and it didn’t ruin our stay at all. Possibly need more sun beds as was only 5 :-)
