Mountain and River View Retreat is a stunning and elevated location overlooking the Alexandra basin. The apartment was sunny, warm and well-ventilated - it was part of an eco-home and was very comfortable. All the key amenities were available, plus some lovely extras such as complimentary breakfast cereals, an air fryer, nespresso coffee machine, and board games. Everything was immaculately clean, very comfortable and in excellent condition. There was a very comfortable bed and soft linen and towels. We enjoyed the warm hospitality from our hosts, including the canine "maids" who would pop by occasionally to check everything was in order, and the quail and bunnies were delightful (yes, I know they're a pest but they're a cute pest. The location was excellent for night sky viewing and photography. The hosts provided lots of useful information in the welcome book, and the checkout requests were easy to do and few. We happily and wholeheartedly recommend Mountain and River View Retreat as an excellent place to stay - it certainly lives up to its name.

Location was excellent

As two very slim but restless sleepers we prefer a king sized bed these days but that aside, everything else was wonderful.

Loved the view from this property. Tidy, clean and quiet.

Nothing it was all good.
