The location is perfect. It's very close to a grocery store—just a 1-minute drive away. If you need anything, you can quickly stop by and pick it up with ease.
The host is very nice and friendly. The room is very clean, with high ceilings, and the indoor temperature is very comfortable. Even during the hot month of June, we didn't need to turn on the air conditioner. The unit has windows on two sides, providing excellent natural ventilation and a pleasant breeze. The property is well maintained, and both the washer and dryer worked perfectly.
nothing.

Secured, gated entry into apartments. Full kitchen and lovely terrace that overlooked peaceful garden where we ate breakfast every morning.
For us, everything was good

The location was ideal for a work trip. The place was clean and comfortable. All the amenities needed were there (great coffee machine, pots/pans, fridge, even washer/dryer). Wonderful extra touch for the owner/manager to offer eggs in the fridge (knowledge from a past stay) and fresh fruit!

The host personally met with me to provide me with the keys, a tour of the property and amenities, provided a parking pass for my rental car, and answered my questions. I felt like an honored guest.
All was wonderful, as advertised. It was clean, cozy, close to where I needed to be for work in Menlo Park, and safe. The only thing I would say, if you want to relax at the end of a busy work day, and watch a tv show, there is no tv. These days, I think most people have a laptop, so not a big deal, imho.
For me, it was great to have a quiet spot for work prep and catch-up at the end of a busy day, and also relaxation.
