Our stay was great. The house is very rustic like you step back in time to the days of the Pirates. Short walk to the beach. The house is in need of some TLC such as the decks , outdoor shower, grill. These were all in need of replacement. Other than that the house was huge inside with multiple floors and an old Observatory at the very top. You can see for days up there. The outside area could use some cleaning up and a warning to the visitors that they will be driving thru some loose sand to get to the house. I had to use 4 wheel drive to get to the house but had a friend show up in a front wheel drive car and made it just fine. Unfortunately for us the weather wasn't that great 5/9-5/16 the high for the week was 70. You will enjoy this place. Watch the movie Nights in Rodanthe and you will lots of things in the house that are in the movie such as the old organ. The movie is there and a dvd player. If someone asked me if I would go again that's a Yes for sure answer. The cool part of the trip was we had high winds several days and you feel the house sway a bit. Not 100% sure but I think the house was haunted. Some weird things too place. You have to experience on your own to understand.
