The property was modern, spotlessly clean, and spacious. The room was quiet and private. Free snacks and gourmet coffee were a nice touch. I appreciate that pets were welcome at no extra charge. There was some unusual technology, in terms of heating, A/C, and brewing coffee that worked well once we figured it out.
The hotel was difficult to locate, even with GPS navigation. We were unable to reach hotel staff, either in person or by phone (even voicemail) when we arrived in La Jolla at midday on Sunday. Room had no luggage racks, no kleenex, no microwave, no ice on premises, and no desk (only a small end table). Nightstands were tiny and barely usable. Parking was available, but required moving the car for day/night. Overall, the room had some unusual nice features, but lacked the things mentioned, which I consider pretty basic.

We loved the inviting courtyard as you walked in to the complex. We felt safe at all times at all hours. We enjoyed the outside table and chairs for breakfast and later in the day. The bathroom setup was amazing with the walk in shower and all new cabinets with separate toilet area.
Parking was a little challenging but it worked out with street parking nearby.
