Excellent stay in a well-kept, squeaky clean apartment. We were anxious at first because we were accompanied by an elderly relative, and the weather forecast reported daytime temperatures in the 90s (32C), and Germany famously doesn't have widespread HVAC. However, the newly refurbished and insulated premises kept up with the July heat reasonably well and retained the cool nighttime temperatures. We had a refreshing night's sleep and a relaxed breakfast, and had a up-to-date environment to prepare for our Trier adventures. The bathroom/shower is not huge, but the fact that it's an integrated, curbless walk-in shower was helpful for party members with mobility issues.

The listing is very new, and our very nice hosts are still learning the ropes - while not mandatory, more information, details and expectations (e.g. checkout procedure) about the stay furnished in advance will be helpful for future guests. For example, we haven't lived in Europe for quite a while, and were unfamiliar with the fact that holiday homes in Germany expect you to bring or rent towels, and also only have minimal cooking equipment and food items (salt, cooking oil). While this seems to be standard in Germany, international guests might be surprised.
