WOW! Absolutely beautiful… and Masa has renovated everything with such care & passion.. Meeting us on arrival, Masa gave us an in depth tour of the house, before treating us to a traditional Tea Ceremony.. he then suggested some options for dinner nearby. Upon our return we found the onsen bath warm & inviting, and a beautiful way to finish our afternoon in Miyajima! Plus the beds were so comfortable! The next morning, Masa arrived and cooked us a beautiful breakfast! Again taking such care to make sure everything was perfectly presented! His hospitality, is what makes this stay so unique. We will definitely treasure our stay at Sion, and I cannot highly recommend YOU choose to stay here too! *Thank You so much Masa x

There is truly nothing to not like about this property! However, I would like to make note the bedroom is upstairs, accessed via a narrow staircase. (I don’t remember reading this when booking, so just want to inform others) We didn’t need to take luggage upstairs and just opened our cases in the small gallery downstairs. This isn’t a negative for us at all, but may provide accessible issues for others.

The most beautiful place we have ever stayed. Masa is such a kind and caring host. Being greeted with such peace and joy. Showing us the home he lovingly built. Hosting us in the sacred tea ceremony room. Cooking us a delicious breakfast with freshly made bread. A healing place for the soul. Complete bliss.

宮島での滞在は本当に素晴らしく、私たちにとって忘れられない体験になりました。 家はとても美しく、静かで居心地も抜群です。細部に至るまでセンスの良さとデザインへのこだわりが感じられ、設備も申し分なく、とても快適に過ごすことができました。夜も本当によく眠れました。そして特筆したいのがトイレです。日本旅行中に使った中で、おそらく一番素晴らしいトイレでした！美しい檜風呂も最高で、一日たくさん歩いて帰ってきた後に、Masaさんがお風呂を準備してくださっているのは本当に幸せなひとときでした。 でも、この滞在を本当に特別なものにしてくれたのはMasaさんです。おもてなしの素晴らしさはまさに5つ星ホテル級。それだけでなく、心からの優しさと、常に私たちのことを気にかけてくださる温かさがありました。 Masaさんは本当に細やかなところまで気を配ってくださいます。お風呂や朝食の準備はもちろん、素晴らしいアドバイスをくださり、レストランをおすすめして予約までしてくださいました。そして何より心に残ったのは、さりげない心遣いの数々です。私たちが歩きに出かけると知ればお水を用意してくださり、雨が降りそうなら傘を持たせてくださる。こちらから何もお願いしなくても、滞在がさらに快適になるよう自然に先回りして考えてくださいます。 この素晴らしい家はもちろんですが、何よりMasaさんの優しさ、会話、そして一緒に過ごした時間が心に残っています。これまで素晴らしい宿にたくさん泊まってきましたが、ひとりのホストの存在がここまで滞在そのものを特別なものにしてくれることは、なかなかありません。 美しい家と洗練されたデザイン、快適さ、そしてMasaさんの素晴らしいおもてなし。そのすべてが合わさって、今回の滞在は私たちの日本旅行の中でも特に心に残る、最高の思い出のひとつになりました。 Masaさん、本当にありがとうございました！

A beautifull property, the owner is an architect who reformed the house with his hands,It took him 3 years. It is an amazing experience to stay in a house in which he cares for the comodity of the guest with a maximum detail. He does the tea ceremony in a tatami room with antique bowls, he cooks the breakfast, he prepares an incredible open bath, he colects you from the ferry station. Such an incredible host.
