Ashoka Residency

Stayed here for 1.5 days for Vaishno Devi Trek and the behaviour of the staffs were too good, safe and secure at the same time. The room services were on time, and the taste of the meals were also so homely. This stay is near railway station (walking distance) and they also provide cab services as per your need with travel-friendly assistants (drivers). They also helped us with understanding the routes and locations. And yes, we booked the stay for 1 day only and plan got suddenly changed that we needed to stay there for another half day and I am felling so satisfied to mention that they only charge for the half day rather than charging for entire day as other stays usually do.

Excellent Stay and Great Guidance in Katra! We stayed at Ashoka Residency from April 20th to 24th, 2026, and had a wonderful experience. Dining: There is a small restaurant adjacent to the hotel that serves delicious local food. It was very convenient and the quality was excellent. Service: The staff was incredibly kind and helpful. They went out of their way to guide us so we could make the most of our sightseeing. Day 1: We visited the Vaishno Devi temple, which was a smooth experience thanks to the hotel's central location. Day 2: The manager arranged a taxi for us with a very professional driver. We spent the day visiting local temples and the impressive Chenab Bridge. Day 3: The manager helped us rent a scooter, which gave us the freedom to explore Patnitop, Nathatop, and Sanasar Lake at our own pace. Day 4: We checked out early in the morning and moved on to Srinagar. Overall, the personalized service and travel arrangements made our trip very easy. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Katra!

Nothing Special

They are not trusting the Booking.com bookings, they informed on arrival that as well have not informed a day early so they couldn't give 3 rooms as requested but only 2. Their policy should have clearly mentioned that this ia what they want and one would have done so.
