The apartment itself is truly outstanding, beautifully furnished, and offers a spectacular view over the Nile and Zamakek. It is an excellent and indiscutable choice for a pleasant family stay, and a very good base for exploring the wonders of Old Cairo, all within short and cheap taxi rides.

The neighborhood is safe, cool, but not particularly upscale. It’s at Okd Cairo standard and does not quite match the very high standard of the apartment. That said, basic groceries and necessities are easily available nearby. Something easily improvable : the common areas of the building. They are somewhat below the standard of the apartment. Even we spent no time there, visually the stairwell could be better maintained. Also, the arrangements for disposing of rubbish were not very convenient. We would certainly have given the highest rating 10/10 if it had not been for these two reservations. However, we absolutely enjoyed our stay
