Oh my gosh...what's not to love about this very special place on beautiful Mercer Island. The host is fabulous; offering prompt communication when I asked for assistance, he also greets you personally so you don't have that uneasy feeling having never met the owner of the home. You have a private entrance to the downstairs space (locked off from the home). Everything is over the top fabulous...from the mattress and pillows to the bathroom fancy shower head. The kitchen has everything you need if you want to cook. Not in the mood to cook? The location is literally under five minutes from a grocery store and restaurants. I was working - and the desk provided was excellent (even the chair was comfortable)! I never watched tv - but there is a lovely couch setup if you did want to kick back to watch. I had just stayed in three hotels over the last month of traveling for work, and without going into details, this home was less expensive and 100x the value! If he has dates open when you are traveling - and you want easy access to Seattle, Bellevue and/or surrounding areas, Book it!

It wasn't a big deal to me, and you would expect this in an "apartment downstairs"...you can hear them walking about upstairs. The internet could be faster - but I could have also used my hot spot because Mercer Island is in a very viable location to do that off your phone.

Every thoughtful little detail was amazing. There is just something kind about how inviting and special this place is. Vic is very responsive and very kind.

I liked all the high quality appliances and furniture used. I also enjoyed all of the fun touches, like all the stuffies and toys.

There's not too much I can say I didn't like; the only thing I think that would make this already good stay even better, would be the addition of a bidet on the toilet.

This was a great find for being in Mercer where there is no hotel. The host, Vick, is kind and welcoming. The studio is very comfortable—with an unexpectedly supremely comfortable bed and cozy blankets on the bed and sofa, and surprisingly spacious feeling. I don’t use the sauna or laundry but the availability of both was a bonus. Nice bathroom with a large tub and outfitted with any toiletries you may have forgotten. Easy independent access through their garage. Easy street parking.

There’s nothing really I didn’t like! I can only clarify that this is the basement in a private home and not a standalone guest house or hotel, so there are a few obvious differences: I could hear a bit of voices and footsteps carrying from above, the big tub could not be filled all the way before water stopped being hot, and there is a single door locked from the studio side between the rest of the house. BUT I provide this just for clarity and not complaint. I really loved my stay and 100% plan to stay there on any future visit!
