Welcome to Carlos Pointe 522, a beautifully updated beachfront condo located on the quiet south end of Fort Myers Beach. This fifth-floor unit offers direct Gulf views, a spacious two-bedroom, two-bath layout, and all the comforts of home—perfect for families, couples, or small groups seeking a weekly vacation rental in Southwest Florida.
Inside, the condo sleeps up to six guests. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed, its own TV, and a private en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Island times are back again! You will find food trucks, restaurants and bars opened, live music, fresh "pink gold" shrimp, and all the natural splendor this tropical island paradise has to offer, including our world famous sunsets.
Take the short ride by car or the island trolley to the north end of the island to Old San Carlos Boulevard with loads of new restaurants (and some old favorites), food trucks, bars and Bayside Park. Also at the north end of the island sits Bowditch Point Park with its turtle walk and lively beach where all the boats pass on their way out to the Gulf. You can choose to go south to Lovers Key State Park, where you can hike along nature trails, canoe or kayak along estuaries and bicycle amidst the mangroves or further south to exclusive shopping centers in Bonita and Naples. Now open, Santini Marina Plaza will offer you shops and a marina, where you can rent a boat or kayak and explore the Great Waterway and mangrove back bays! Restaurants at Santini Plaza are scheduled to open January 2026. The island's major supermarket, Publix, is open, as is Snook Bite Marina with its two lively restaurants on the Bay.
We would like to note that there is still construction occurring on the island as Fort Myers Beach rebuilds newer and stronger after Hurricane Ian. The southern bridge at Big Carlos Pass is now open to cars and bicycles for easy travel access off island to Bonita Springs and Naples, but construction continues until May 2026 as they remove the old bridge.

This place was great. It was very clean, owner had everything marked very well. Plenty of kitchen supplies, although we could not find a pizza cutter, not a big deal. It had everything else though. Plenty of beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and even a cooler! The ocean view was fabulous! Loved sitting out on the lani watching the dolphins, sunrises and sunsets! Absolutely stunning!The beach was great other than the red algae that came in.The only downside of things was the water pressure and water temperature was not the greatest. We would definitely rent here again.

All of the above, we felt at home, and spent hours on the porch. We would love to come back to the same condo. Penny was a great help with giving us ideas as to where to eat. The only problem we found was that we were only booked for a week. Now we know…

We had a great stay at this condo. The host gave us a wonderful "appreciation basket" as we were the first ones to use it since Hurricane Ian. The furniture in the living room and the bedroom was comfortable. We enjoyed eating out on the balcony as there were chairs and a table. The washer (HE) and dryer were easy to use. The coffee maker was able to take a pod or ground coffee. It could make one cup of coffee or several. The primary bathroom had a rainfall showerhead. I wish that there had been lids for the frying pans. I never found them but there were plenty of pots and utensils in the kitchen. There were some negatives, but they were not deal breakers. One complaint was that the water was never hot. It ran lukewarm. Our socks were black on the soles that first day. The black got much less with our stay. There was some noise from construction of the nearby bridge and a house across the street, but it was very minimal. The beach was stunning from our balcony. When one went down to the beach after a walk, it was covered in green seaweed or something like it and the water also carried this green substance. As I don't swim in the water, I enjoyed watching the water from the balcony. From there we saw dolphins on several occasions swimming past our complex. When our cable went out, John, the contractor who provided the internet service that the owner rented from, gave excellent customer service. Overall, this was a great unit to rent.
