Elevate Ella Resort & Spa

L’établissement est le plus beau, qu’on ai vu dans le centre de la ville, avec sa construction en ardoise noire. , Ils se font complètement au décor naturel de la ville. Le personnel était très gentil et accueillant. Les chambres sont grandes. Mention spéciale à la piscine débordante sur le Rooftop et le bar. L’hôtel est vraiment très beau. La localisation est parfaite, sur une rue perpendiculaire de la rue centrale.

Petit déjeuner du matin qui certes était bien, mais sans être hors du commun. A savoir, il n’y a pas d’ascenseur, la montée aux chambres se fait exclusivement par les escaliers. Vous faites pas avoir par le prix, vous êtes néanmoins quand même dans la fourchette haute des prix.

Probably the best views from a hotel that we had all trip. Rooms are quite high up so you’ve got great views of the mountains. The location is perfect, less than 5 minute walk down the main streets of Ella. We knew about the amount of steps and lack of lift up to the rooms before booking so this didn’t bother us as we did our research. The room was very modern and cool and the bed was so comfortable, we slept so well. The infinity pool was great.

The pool area is great but it’s a shame there are so many flies around which drove us mad. But that appeared to be the case everywhere in Ella. The breakfast wasn’t great, everything was cold and there were loads of flies again. There were some alright options available and you could order eggs fresh to your table though which saved it. But seeing the flies on everything I else was off putting.

Very clean and fantastic staff. Some of the best cocktails we had all trip.

Minor comment but information could be added in the room with details of Spa services / opening times for breakfast / bar etc.

Big bedroom, comfortable bed. Nice view.

Rude, dismissive staff. When I turned up to check in the late afternoon they acted like it was a chore. The next morning someone abruptly came up to me demanding I fill out forms which they didn’t give me upon check in, without saying hello or smiling - seemed like a hostile interaction for no reason. Groundstaff stared at me a lot when I was coming & going, as a F solo traveler this felt uncomfortable & bizarre (I had already been in Sri Lanka 2.5 weeks at this point and hadn’t experienced this anywhere else). Nobody refilled the water in the room or made the bed Which for the price should be standard. Not a 5 star experience. Would never stay here again.
