We had such a nice stay! It was spacious and so so clean. Everything was explained on how to use the appliances so that was so helpful. Yes, it is a bit far away from the pier but it is very walkable and we were carrying a big bag and with a stroller. Plus, the location is awesome if you want to do the ropeway and the house is literally on the way. There is a nice cafe next door too. We had the pleasure to meet Taisei who looks after the place and was so friendly. I totally recommend this place to stay the night on Miyajima, it was so worth it.

Miyajima has always been one of the most representative famous tourist attractions in Japan, in my opinion. I visited it ten years ago, but the weather was bad, so I could only stay briefly, which was a regret at the time. Returning ten years later, I was very glad that Miyajima hadn't changed much. With the changing tides and the alternation of day and night, it remains a beautiful picture, perfect for letting time stand still by the large torii gate. This time, the guesthouse I stayed at was a different experience from other accommodations. I didn't leave the house from check-in to check-out; there were so many surprises waiting to be discovered. I'm grateful for the thoughtful guidance and assistance from the guesthouse manager. Staying in this house allowed me to temporarily forget the chaos of Japanese holidays with their crowds and traffic. Located along the Miyajima Mizan Ropeway, this guesthouse is perfect for travelers planning a hiking trip. The accommodation style is different from other guesthouses; it feels more like having a home on Miyajima. So, if you're planning to stay here, be sure to allocate more time to the house for a more immersive experience than just sightseeing. It's also ideal for larger groups, making it especially fun for families or friends, and children will love it.

The location is quite far from the pier, which can be tiring for travelers with large luggage. Also, guests are responsible for preparing their own BBQ dinner. Due to a long holiday in Japan, we arrived in Miyajima very late and didn't have the energy to prepare a BBQ dinner after check-in. Fortunately, the room's kitchen was fully equipped, so we managed to cook a simple but delicious meal. The beef and vegetables were very fresh and tasty, but it was a pity that we couldn't cook all the ingredients at once.
