Watch the sky over the ridge turn orange and purple while your hot tub glows electric blue three decks below — this is the moment ‘Into the Mist’ earns its name.
Cook for the whole crew without running out of counter space, and catch the trees through the window over the sink while you do it.
Step in from the deck and the whole heart of the cabin opens up — staircase on one side, kitchen just beyond the chairs.
Set up breakfast for the whole group at the farmhouse table with the kitchen fully stocked just steps away.
Seat six around the dining table for pancakes or poker night with your crew, kitchen close enough that nobody misses the action.

Summary:

Picture this: fog drifting through the pines outside your window, a fire crackling in the stone hearth below, and a hot tub steaming under a sky full of stars you haven't seen since you were a kid. Into the Mist sits high in the Homestead at Wears Valley, a quiet three-story retreat for ten, thirty minutes from Dollywood and a world away from everything. Downstairs, the air hockey table is already keeping score. Upstairs, the mist rolls in right on cue.

You'll feel it the second you step through the front door: soaring knotty pine cathedral ceilings, a wall of windows pulling the forest inside, and a stacked-stone fireplace anchoring the whole great room.

The main level is where the group naturally gathers. Sink into the leather sofa by the fireplace, or pull a chair up to the dining table for six, dishing up dinner while the sun drops behind the ridge. The open-concept kitchen is fully equipped — a full black appliance suite, dishwasher, blender, toaster, a hot water kettle, and a Cuisinart coffee maker stocked with Folgers and Torani syrups for the morning crowd. Board games are already stacked on the table, so rainy-day plans make themselves.

Three bedrooms are spread across all three levels for real privacy. The main-level primary suite has a king bed against a dark shiplap accent wall, a walk-in closet, and its own full bath with a jetted soaking tub facing the trees. Upstairs, the second king bedroom mirrors that same cozy, private feel, with forest views out two windows and its own full bath just steps away.

Downstairs is where this cabin earns its keep. The lower level holds the third bedroom — two twin-over-full bunk units for the kids or an extra couple — plus a full bathroom and a lounge with a second fireplace, a wall-mounted TV, and a sleeper sofa. Right next to it, the game room keeps the fun going: air hockey, bistro seating, and forest views.

Outside, a covered, multi-level deck wraps the back of the cabin with rocking chairs, a porch swing, an outdoor dining set, a BBQ grill, and — the real star — a private hot tub tucked under the trees. At night, the whole structure glows against the ridge, hot tub lit up below a sky full of stars. Free WiFi and smart TVs let the group stream between hikes, and a washer and dryer mean nobody packs for two weeks.

- Multi-generational families: three bedrooms spread across three levels means grandparents, parents, and kids each get their own quiet corner.

- Groups with kids of all ages: the little ones have the bunk room and game room to burn energy while the adults soak in the hot tub after everyone's asleep.

- Couples sharing with another couple or two: two king suites on separate levels give both couples real privacy, with the great room and deck as shared common ground.

- Dog owners: this is a genuinely dog-friendly cabin, so the four-legged member of the family doesn't sit this trip out.

- Reunions chasing a home base: seating for ten and a game room for overflow means nobody's forced into a bedroom to relax.

We want you to relax, so the rules here are more "be a good neighbor" than fine print. Check-in is after 4:00 PM, checkout before 10:00 AM, giving our team time to reset the cabin. Maximum occupancy is 10 guests. Dogs are welcome, though the hot tub and deck don't have a gate, so keep an eye on kids and pets around both. Smoke and carbon monoxide alarms are installed throughout. Starting November 1, guests must submit a valid ID and sign a rental agreement through our secure software — quick, and just to confirm who's staying with us. Treat the cabin like your own and you'll always be welcome back.
