The location was excellent and very convenient for exploring Budapest. The view was definitely the highlight of the stay and was absolutely worth it. It was easily the best feature of the apartment, and despite some of the issues, we still enjoyed our stay overall.

There were several things that could be improved. The bedroom had a persistent unpleasant smell, similar to the smell of an older home. The bathroom has a glass window between it and the bedroom, so when someone uses the bathroom at night and turns on the light, it shines directly into the bedroom and can wake the other person up. The water heater also makes quite loud noises, which can be disruptive. The apartment also needs a proper deep clean. There was a significant amount of dust and debris underneath the couch and metal table. The bedsheets were dirty when we arrived, so we had to request a fresh set, and only one set of towels was provided for the entire week, so we had to ask for additional towels. The pillows were not very comfortable and could be replaced with better-quality ones, and the bed frame could also use an upgrade. The kitchen faucet was loose and needs to be properly secured. The check-in instructions were also poorly translated and quite confusing, which made the arrival process more difficult than it needed to be. Overall, the apartment has an excellent location and an exceptional view, but the cleanliness, comfort and maintenance need more attention. That said, we still enjoyed our stay and the great location and view made a big difference.

We had a wonderful stay in the apartment. The location is fabulous - all the main sights are within easy walking distance, the airport bus drop off/pick up point is about a 5 min walk and there is a easy to use luggage storage facility just down the street. Despite the apartment being on a very busy street it is surprisingly quiet at night. And the view over to the basillica is indeed breathless. The apartment is really spacious. The bedroom is huge, as is the bed which is so comfortable. Communication with Eva, our host, was excellent and the check-in details were clear and easy to follow. We would definitely recommend staying here. 😊

Nothing to dislike 😊

The view of the Basilica was absolutely stunning. Apartment was clean, spacious and very comfortable and tastefully decorated. Entrance is on a quiet side street with windows overlooking the main street. Soundproofing was great- it’s such a busy street but we could only hear the occasional police/ambulance siren which didn’t bother us (we’re from NYC). Otherwise, you would never know you were on such a busy road. Eva, our host was fantastic- we had minor issue where the sofa bed wasn’t made when we arrived and she replied to my message within minutes and was at the apartment immediately to set it up.

Everything was great- if I had to be picky (like another review had mentioned) it would be nice to have something hanging off the shower-head to place shampoo/soap. We had to keep our bottles on the shower floor. Not a deal breaker, but would be a nice, practical convenience.

truly great apartment, surprisingly calm and quiet, with elevator.great restaurants, convenience store and bunch of smaller shops on the block.public transportation in walking distance.

amazing for short time stays
