Welcome to the “Alter Schulhof” – a vacation full of charm and history in the Allgäu

In the past, students used to cram formulas and vocabulary here; today, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy your vacation at the Alter Schulhof in Thalkirchdorf. Each apartment tells its own little story, and you get to write the next chapter!

“Freistunde” Apartment – Unwind Spontaneously
The “Freistunde” apartment is exactly what its name promises: a little escape from everyday life, with no schedule at all. Ideal for solo travelers or couples seeking peace and inspiration. Modern, lovingly furnished, and with a touch of nostalgia. This is what true relaxation feels like.

In summer, crystal-clear lakes like the Großer Alpsee, fantastic hiking and biking trails, and pure adventure on the summer toboggan run at Hündle await you. In winter, the surroundings transform into a true snowy fairy tale: Ski slopes, winter hiking trails, and cross-country ski trails are right on your doorstep. And if you want to experience the real Allgäu, you should come in the fall for the traditional Viehscheid, when decorated cows make their way back down from the Alps into the valley.

Because the best time is and always will be: free time.
