Tucson Mountain Guest Ranch

I like the inclusion and the historical component of the units. Reading about the history makes it even more interesting and it was a nice conversation with one of the staff or volunteers to learn about how some things are being worked on and the history of one of the large buildings that used to be a kitchen, has a hot tub and had a fire in the past. Past. All around really interesting and dark skies and quiet.

Because I just been through a whole spell with smoke detectors at my home, changing batteries and up and down ladders, I was cognizant of seeing where there had been at least two smoke detectors in the unit I was in. Was in. I saw the base that they go into but did not see any current ones. Maybe they were hidden but if there are none, to me that's not a good thing, sure a fire department might be far away, but if someone was alerted and could get out of a burning place, why not. Not. Yes, the units are mainly made of of rocks/stones, v but a good portion or wood including floors, walls and ceilings. I need to do better on that. It looks like the water heaters are outside and they might be a natural gas.. I think I saw tanks outside. They probably don't pose danger of carbon monoxide leaking, but if any of the buildings have those internal carbon monoxide detectors would be a good thing to have to.

It’s close to the city without feeling like you’re in the city. The building we stayed in was rustic and beautiful . We had our own patio with beautiful views and a kitchen with everything I needed to cook a couple meals.

The GPS led us to the wrong place, but the staff guided us in. They were very helpful. Look for the two stone pillars at the entrance of a dirt road!

Such a beautiful remote place to stay! I really got the full experience of Tucson by staying here. I even saw a coyote and javelina right outside my door! Very impressive panoramic windows in the unit I stayed. I recommend renting a car since it is a little on the outskirts but thats what makes it such a gem! Every uber driver I had was impressed with the location so if the locals get excited you know its good! One even said they were going to look into doing a weekend stay there. The love and passion shines here.

The shower didnt run but I sent a message and they were IMMEDIATELY on it which is very much appreciated!

Ranczo z historią, położone na pustyni. Piękny domek z dwoma sypialniami, kuchnią i łazienką. Weranda na zewnątrz. Przede wszystkim doceniam Gospodarzy - bardzo mili i pomocni ludzie, oraz atmosferę miejsca. Wspaniale doświadczenie!
