Hotel karim Tunis

The staff is very nice. Price/quality is good. It has air conditioning and a TV. The room was clean. The location is 100 meters from the entrance of the medina.

The WiFi was terrible. The soundproofing does not exist. If people walk in the corridor or open and close a door, you cannot sleep. Walking around the hotel after 6 pm could be dangerous. The hair dryer was terrible.

The location is terrible. Trash was everywhere in front of and around the property. While I understand it’s the city’s responsibility, I want to make this point clear. Parking is a nightmare in that neighborhood and getting in and out of it by car took us a long time due to narrow alleys and the market. We woke up the next day to a missing plate number from the front of the car and the cameras outside weren’t helpful. The room was really small and the bathroom lacked any shelves or spaces to put toiletries on. My husband was given attitude by the female employee when he asked for a tissue box which should always be provided in hotels. She told him « you go buy it yourself »!! For the price we paid, we expected a lot better, especially that we were able to find an Airbnb in Sidi Bou Said for the same price but with much better facilities and a perfect neighborhood.
