Serene atmosphere away from the city of Hanoi. The swimming pool was amazing

A beautiful property located in a quiet valley in Tam Coc. A quick 8 minute trip by Grab into Tam Coc which was didn't mind at all (approx $5AUD each way). The triple room was more than adequate for our family of 3 for 4 nights, the beds super comfortable and the room is very quiet making for a very restful sleep. Looks out over the very clean and beautiful saltwater pool that we used daily. Breakfast and dinner were both exceptional. The bungalow and whole property was immaculate and beautifully cared for. Kim is an exceptional host who goes well beyond his call of duty to look after you - he is a gentle lovely soul who will make your stay just perfect. Special mention to the 3 beautiful dogs that reside at the property - the most beautifully behaved friends! Can only highly recommend if you are after a real retreat surrounded by nature and away from the business of city life.

The hotel itself is beautiful and has only been open for a few months, so everything is still very new. The rooms are spacious, modern and very clean, and the pool is lovely. The location is also excellent, surrounded by nature, with Tam Coc easily reachable by bike and all the main attractions only a short taxi ride away.

Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the hotel. When we arrived, we were very hungry and wanted to have lunch at the hotel. The manager, Anh, told us they had two large groups in the restaurant and suggested that we eat somewhere else instead. Before leaving, we walked past the restaurant and saw that the “large groups” were actually just one table of two guests and one table of four guests, which was disappointing. We only ate at the hotel once during our stay. The food, especially the spring rolls, was very good, but we had to wait almost an hour for it. On another occasion, we ordered fruit and again waited around an hour before it arrived. It felt like the restaurant was not well organised. We also found the manager’s behaviour rather unprofessional. Upon arrival, she immediately told us that she would be leaving the hotel next month, which did not seem appropriate to share with guests. She also often gave unsolicited opinions. For example, when we mentioned that we were planning to visit the Van Long boat tour, she told us that, in her opinion, it was “not worth it”. We would have preferred to form our own opinion without being discouraged.
